<H1>Champps</H1><H3>Also known as Champps Americana, Champps Restaurant and Bar, Champps Entertainment Inc.</H3> The picture to the right shows what is typically a large bar located on the main floor with several steps leading to a second dining area and in some restaurants another small set of steps leading to a third raised dining area. You can probably count more than twenty large screens playing sports or news. The menu offers many choices, all of which are served on large plates. Expect a generous serving especially of the side orders. The chef salad bowl is huge, I seen similar bowls used at other restarants as the serving for the entire table. Champps offers sandwiches with Chicken Ranch Wrap as the house special, burgers and chicken sandwiches including a Buffalo Chicken and a Pepperjack Bacon Stack Burger, main dinner entrees include parmesan crusted chicken and grilled salmon, multiple pasta choices include Cajun Chicken Fettuccine and Chicken & Broccoli Penne. There area many appetizer choices including the sampler platter where you can try many of the choices or go for the Mongolian Egg Rolls. They also offer steaks, the house 12 oz. sirloin was $13.95 (as of April, 2004) while a typical cheeseburger runs $8.95. The prices are higher than some other restaurants, however the emphasis is on entertainment. In the restaurant near Morse Road they have a mirrored ball in the middle for the entertainment provided by a disc jockey on Friday and Saturday evenings and a patio area with a stone fireplace. This is a children friendly place, especially if you are sitting in the non-smoking section, they even have balloons for the kids. Childrens menu choices run around $4.00, while on Tuesday evenings children eat free when with an adult.
