Slims is a modestly sized restaurant with comfortable atmosphere. The front of the restaurant has long tables underlarge windows bringing to mind, from the outside, an Edward Hopper painting. Here your neighboring diner may in fact be a neighbor, or a stranger. The back of the restaurant has an elevated area where there are individual tables for 2 to 6 people. Menu choices change weekly but almost always have pork asada, a seafood/coconut soup,"simple salad" with fresh greens grown by the owner or friends, a pasta dish featuring pasta from a small company in north eastern Ohio, creme brulee and a "sundae" with an oatmeal cookie base. Slims does not have a liquor license, but you may bring your own wine and spirits AND, there is no corkage fee.
