The dining adjunct to the famous jazz club, Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro serves up high-quality hamburgers and modern Creole fare. High ceilings with exposed beams, exposed brick, and dark-finished weathered wood furnishings give the restaurant a n earthy backstreets feel, but the prices and the food are a far cry from Liuzza's and Dunbar's; Snug Harbor has updated its menu, making the online version no longer current and moving its offerings slightly to the upscale end of the spectrum. Expect creole pasta dishes and slightly more detail on the meat and seafood than listed on their website. The restaurant is quiet with much space between the tables. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you see it, a solid wall separating the dining room from the jazz club makes it conversation-friendly.
