J. Paul's is located inside the Shops at Georgetown Park. In warmer weather, J. Paul's throws open its large street-level picture windows, giving patrons a view of busy Georgetown outside. But even in the winter, it attracts a regular crowd of tourists, students, and Georgetown locals who take in its careful replication of a turn-of-the-century saloon, complete with a century-old mahogany shotgun bar from Chicago and antique brass elevator doors salvaged from the old Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. The pub fare and burgers are well-regarded, of course, but J. Paul's also offers a wine list and regional specialties, notably seafood
