Menu offers steak, seafood, salads, pasta, soups, Okanagan wines and desserts (including Chocolate Mousse). Patrons can watch their food grill in the outside grill shack adjacent to the restaurant. The Lost Moose was built in 1996, two years after the Garnet forest fire that tore through this area, and removed much of the forest cover. It is a striking design, using several dozen whole trees from the property as posts, beams, and the bar, the latter being the largest of them all. The restaurant portion of the building is a half rotunda facing west, toward the lakes. There are windows all around this front, with a dramatic view of much of the Okanagan Valley, from Skaha Lake to Penticton to Peachland on Okanagan Lake in the north - from an elevation of about 1,000 meters (~3,400'). The backdrop is formed by mountains of the Thompson Plateau. The lodge offers meals to groups and weddings, plus rents comfortable cabins for those who want to wile awhile.
