Crawdaddy's Quarters Steakhouse, Penrith, NSW, Australia

Crawdaddy's Quarters Steakhouse
upstairs 516-532 High St., but must use Station St. entrance
Penrith NSW Australia

Use Station Street entrance. Specializes in Cajun/Creole cuisine and also offers Australian meals. The indoor seating area accommodates 100 diners easily and an outdoor balcony seats an additional 80 diners. There is also a parlour (complete with chandeliers and comfortable chairs and lounges to sink into) where you can relax and listen to great Jazz and Blues on the stage. The hand-painted artwork on the walls (by a local trompe l'oeil artist) is amazingly reminiscent of New Orleans. On nights when no band appears, the atmosphere is quiet and perfect for intimate dining. On Saturday nights and some Friday nights, bands perform from as early as 8:30 to as late as midnight. There is a $10 entertainment fee on band nights. The dining cost is quite affordable, with most entrees under $10 and all under $15. Mains are mostly under $20 and all are under $30. A wide variety of desserts is offered; not to be missed is the famous New Orleans Bananas Foster.
