The Barking Dog is a friendly neighborhood tavern located 1.5 blocks from the metro and close to many parking facilities. Hand carved mahogany, mirrors and brass set the first floor while a lounge area with dance floor and large bar definre the second floor. Plans are underway for a tiki bar room deck for spring 2004. "The Dog" ia a great place to relax after work, after a game or to view sporting events on one of eleven TVs featuring two big screens. Most popular times are the $2 beer and $5 burger nights, weekends with DJs and occasional live local music. There are party facilities for groups from 25 - 300 guests. Lunch is served Monday thru Saturday, full menu until 10 pm and late night menu until close, with food and drink specials daily.
